The Story That Changed My Life...
I didn’t become a wedding photographer the usual way.
I became one after my own wedding photos were ruined. They were out of focus, overexposed and completely soulless. Our photographer, a friend, bailed last minute without telling us. His replacement was unprofessional and the result left me heartbroken.
Out of thousands of images, I salvaged ten.
That pain became my purpose...
Now, I’m the photographer I needed that day, someone who shows up, gives a damn and captures every moment with care, creativity and intention. No one deserves to feel what I did.
These days, I photograph weddings for people who do things their own way. The wildly in love. The rule breakers, the velvet wearers, the ones who know the vibe matters more than tradition.
My style? Dark, moody, romantic and raw. I blend documentary storytelling with editorial flair.
I capture fleeting glances, quiet touches and those gorgeously unfiltered in between moments.
I also guide when needed and hang back when it’s right. With 14 years of photography experience, I shoot based on prompts, not rigid poses, unless you want them (and if you do, I’ve got you).
Before switching over to photography full time, I worked in healthcare. Prison healthcare to be precise! Yep, really! With that said, high pressure environments don’t scare me. If your timeline’s gone caput, your MIL from hell showed up in white, or the cake's on fire, I’ll be the calm in the chaos.
My dream wedding to shoot isn’t about the venue or dress, it’s about authenticity. If you’re unapologetically you, I’m already in. Because at the end of it all, I want you to be head over heels in love with your gallery.
My photography background started in commercial and fantasy and high editorial.
My focus was always on creating bold, stylised visuals that told a story. Full of mood, drama, and atmosphere. I approached each shoot with an editorial eye and an obsession with the finer details, blending art direction with storytelling to create striking, meaningful images. That experience shaped everything I do now and still influences how I shoot today.
And now, I’m bringing it back.
I’m reopening space for fantasy, editorial and branded photography packages, designed for individuals and businesses who want something a little darker, a little braver and a lot more ‘them’.
So where am I now?
Now I work full time as a photographer. I specialise in real, editorial and alternative wedding photography as well as lifestyle, commercial & boudoir. I champion people who don't always feel seen in the mainstream industry or 'societal norms'.
And I’m also the proud Founder & Director of Dark Wedding Collective, a community first platform for alternative suppliers and couples. It’s a space built for the offbeat, the bold, the beautiful, the neurodivergent, the queer, the tattooed, the dramatic, the wild and the wonderfully weird.
