Wedding Photography FAQs

Do you travel across the UK?
Yes. I photograph weddings throughout the UK and internationally. Whether you are eloping somewhere remote or hosting a full wedding abroad, I approach destination coverage with the same level of preparation and intention as I would in the UK. Travel logistics and coverage details are discussed clearly in advance so you feel supported from start to finish.
What time do you start and finish?
This depends on the package you choose. Some couples opt for shorter coverage, others prefer full day wedding photography coverage from preparations through to the evening celebrations. We will discuss your timeline in advance to ensure the right level of coverage for your day.
Do we need a second photographer?
For smaller, intimate weddings, one photographer is often more than enough. However, a second photographer adds depth and perspective to your day. It allows morning preparations to be covered in two locations, captures multiple angles during key moments, and ensures more candid reactions from your guests while I remain focused on you.
Can you hold a date for us?
I unfortunately don't formally hold dates without a signed contract and booking fee. However, if another enquiry comes in for the same date while we are in conversation, I will always let you know. I believe in being transparent and giving you the opportunity to confirm before I release the date to someone else.
Can we order albums or prints?
Yes. Heirloom albums and professional print options are available. Your photographs deserve to exist beyond a screen, and I am always happy to guide you through those choices.
Because my editing style leans into darker, atmospheric tones, I strongly recommend printing through the professional lab I work with. Many standard or high street services are not colour calibrated for this style of imagery, which can result in colour shifts or loss of depth in the shadows. Ordering prints or albums directly through me ensures the colour, contrast and atmosphere remain exactly as intended, preserving the integrity of your images.
How will we receive our photos?
Your final gallery will be delivered via a private online platform where you can download high resolution images and share with family. Every image is carefully edited to maintain the dark, editorial atmosphere you see throughout my portfolio.
What is the turnaround time?
A small preview will be shared shortly after your wedding. Full gallery delivery depends on the season and overall workload. Most couples receive their completed gallery within 6-10 weeks, with autumn weddings often delivered within approximately 12 weeks. Each image is edited individually to preserve depth, tone and atmosphere, which takes time.
Do you visit venues beforehand?
If I have not photographed at your venue before, I carry out thorough research in advance and familiarise myself with the space, lighting and layout. When possible, I will visit ahead of time, but it is not always necessary. Experience and adaptability matter just as much as preparation, and I arrive ready to respond to the light and atmosphere as it unfolds.

Wedding Planning Tips

Planning your wedding is not just about aesthetics. It is about flow, energy and creating space for moments to unfold naturally. I share considered guidance to help couples shape a day that feels intentional and photographs beautifully.
Every booking receives my "Wedding Planning Survival Guide", a carefully curated magazine built from real, lived wedding experiences. Inside, you’ll find detailed timeline advice, insight into managing light throughout the day, practical approaches to family portraits, and honest guidance shaped by years of documenting alternative celebrations. It goes far deeper than photography alone.
If you’d like a glimpse into the way I think about wedding days, I share selected planning insights on the blog below. Consider it a little preview, the deeper guidance and knowledge is reserved for my couples.
